    My account got banned about 2 weeks ago for three days saying if you were were a republican you voted for a Nazi and fuck Nazi’s.

    People don’t realize it but Reddit is working on suppressing everything as well. This plus the soon to be paywalled information. This shit is on purpose.

      Are you telling me the president’s closest advisor doing double nazi salutes to a cheering crowd and his other closest advisor doing a nazi salute to another cheering crowd isn’t just a coincidence? Next thing you’ll tell me is Musk likes the name X because he enjoys drawing the rest of the swastika.

        I’m pretty sure he likes the X because that’s how a ton of illiterate tribal leaders signed away their land to Europeans, specifically his ancestors.

        Sucks too. I found some really obscure advice on one thread that really saved me. I had an HTC vive and the sensor boxes weren’t working. Someone commented that the Razer Chroma program fucks it up for some reason so I got rid of it and it worked. Lots of useful info, about to be inaccessible to the masses.

    I got a 7 day ban for mentioning that someone managed to make Musk’s AI say Musk and Trump deserve the death penalty in a thread shitting on Musk’s AI. I tried to appeal the ban asking how mentioning this was “promoting violence” and I got permabanned with no explanations. Reddit has become a fucking cesspool.

          There has been serious doubt that painkillers in lethal injection were enough to work. But the death penalty should be off the table since so many are wrongly convinced, unless the convicted requests it as the more humane option, because prison is currently retributive and cruel, rather than rehabilitative and humane.

    If you thought Reddit was anything but on the side of Elon, Thiel, and the Nazi plutocrats, you haven’t been paying attention. And it will get worse and worse as time goes on.

    They’re trying to control the conversation to the point that the Overton Window embraces open fascism, and it’s working.

      Take this as a very good sign. They are afraid of implications of spreading this discourse. Go forth widely and proclaim it: “eat the rich”.

      But in all seriousness let’s not loose the momentum. Online or offline we need to continue to push this narrative against capital, corruption, and genocide.

      Why do you think we’re here?

      I think that depends largely on somebody’s “join” date. If they’re under 6 months old, they probably got banned/censored from Reddit. If they joined in the last 6-12 months, it’s probably because of Reddit’s AI policies. If they joined 12-18 months ago, it was probably due to the API changes shutting down third-party apps. If they’re older than that, then they’re probably just tankies.

        I get your point but I left reddit & joined the lemmyverse just a week ago, and did not get banned/censored.

        I just felt that a ton of small niggles both technical and content-/moderation-wise had accumulated towards a tipping point.

        I have used old.reddit for the longest time and there’s always been some glitches (…). There seem to be delays, and they’re getting longer. Whether this is just old.reddit or in general, I do not care.

        There are other indicators that reddit isn’t interested in keeping old.reddit working. It’s just a question of time.

        Then there’s bots, including wetware bots. Whether they’re just re-posting to farm karma or actively flooding certain topics with vile opinion or - after a noticeable delay that has nothing to do with timezones - tip the up/downvote balance in their favor: they are here, and it’s not getting better.
