I get what you’re saying, but I’ve lived my entire life in Florida and I’ve never been a supporter of conservative policies. I didn’t vote for climate change and I’m certainly not in support of of repealing policies to at least slow it down. Me and my family are going to suffer from this just the same. I understand you want to feel the joy at the suffering of climate change deniers, but there’s a lot of people here who don’t deserve what we’re going to get. A lot of us may not have the ability to just leave and go elsewhere and are going to suffer anyway. Unfortunately, the people who most deserve what they get have enough money to escape it and aren’t going to suffer the consequences.

It’s true. You don’t deserve what’s happening. You put up a good fight, and now you’re hosed. I’m so sorry this is going to happen to you. I sincerely hope you find a way out.

If you fully expect to lose everything you have at some point then why would you wait until that happens to act? You won’t have a choice at that point so do something now and save what you can.

No one uproots their life, says goodbye to lots of friends you probably won’t see again, switches jobs, takes the kids out of school and subjects them to losing their entire social life right now, just because the risk of flooding is increasing within the next 30 years.

Saying that the whole state will definitely be underwater is a significantly stronger statement than “the risk of flooding is increasing”. Still, people move somewhere else every day for reasons a lot more trivial than either.

Get out if you can. People are willing to help. I know that these are empty words from an internet weirdo. Please, these hurricanes are going to be worse.

Move away from the coasts, and places prone to drought. The wildfires rage on the West Coast.

The northeast might have to deal with snow, but it’s been less and less every year. Yay global warming!?

I live in a conservative area in a blue state. Would be nice to see some of those chuds complaining about migrants from the other side of the country actually have to deal with climate refugees.
