The number of people who refuse to follow the rule of āif you donāt like it, donāt engage with itā is too damn high. Itās like people think theyāre owed others hearing their opinions. No, we donāt owe you that, especially not after youāve disrespected very simple rules.
It was kind of wild reading the comments on those posts in YPTB where people were both saying āI donāt even like the instanceā but also getting mad that theyād been banned from the instance. If youāve never interacted with the instance, why do you care so much if youāre banned?
I did see a few people mention they liked visiting 196, and I can understand being a little annoyed at a ban especially if you werenāt saying what got you banned on blahaj, but my impression is that banning from blahaj isnāt a final permanent decision, just a preventative measure.
I think they care because they wanted to express their opinion to the trans people on Blahaj but canāt because theyāre banned from the communities and their responses wonāt even be seen by them. Theyāre mad for the same reasons regular bigots get mad about being banned, they want to be able to force their opinion onto others, exactly like they say we force our opinions on them.
What was wild/hilarious to me was that so many of them are banned from Blahaj that I had to view the original thread on db0 to see over half the comments in the thread. I was receiving so many replies that justā¦ didnāt federate to Blahajā¦ I never would have seen them if I hadnāt checked the other instanceās version of the thread.
That feel when they canāt even bother you because your admin is watching your back.

Reminder to report these types of people. I read every single report, so if we see a trans/homophobe on our instance (dbzer0); you better believe theyāll get their ass banned.
@PugJesus@lemmy.world, @LittleRatInALittleHat@lemmy.world, @SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world, and @inv3r5ion@lemmy.dbzer0.com are among the few users Iāve seen engaged in transphobic rhetoric in YPTB, yet only one of them got any kind of ban, and it was temporary.
The situation got too big and i lost track quickly. Though one of the other admins brought out inversions comments so we banned them. Iāll review all their comments and all the other accounts involved in this, and take action appropriately.
Iāll admit i donāt understand xenogenders and all that stuff; but we banned inversion because of incivility, and actual transphobia. Iāll review their account again and see if we should extend the ban. Sorry abt all this again.
