I have a feeling that was pre Mozilla pocket offering a deal to kobo.
But hopefully I’m wrong and rakuten kobo will integrate with another service.
I think this is going to be my main.
Has accounts on lemmy.zip, lemmy.world, fedia.io and kbin.earth with the same handle

O don’t use an e-reader, but I remember the stress their migration process gave me. That’s when I found omnivore. Unfortunately for me that was 3 months before they have to shut down lol. Now I’m back at Instapaper. Shouldn’t have left it for pocket way back then.
I’m coming to the same conclusion. I have long migrated back to Instapaper (not related to Meta’s Instagram of anyone doesn’t know about it). And the only distinction saving to that vs bookmarks and raindrop, is that I save articles more often than not. And raindrop have a reader mode as well iirc.
And I don’t really go back to read all the articles I saved in instapaper that frequently. Might as well just drop that too, and just use raindrop (or linkwarden when I get around to trying Linux and self hosting).
That’s true. I did that for years when I stopped using Firefox even after using containers a bit. Forgot why I stopped before. Now I’m glad to be back on Firefox, and especially for containers.
constantly logging out/in and getting MFA prompts gets old.
that or even an account switcher like google does, still gets old lol
somehow I missed easy container shortcuts. thanks!
Figured pretty much everyone would do that
Yeah, already have their facebook container. But I believe they already have the function to allow a container to only open the sites I assign it to. So like their Facebook container, any links I click not of the sites it’ll just open in no container.
The cross site tracking is the lower of my concerns practically. It’s signing in to my multiple Google accounts without having to change accounts is my main goal.
A lot of things in life are improved once you excise the FOMO mind cancer.
On the hate of Bluesky here from what I understand: it’s just another twitter masquerading being open with almost impossible to run federation backenf if you’re not some big rich organization that will enshittify and it’s not mastodon
“Balwisyall nescell gungnir tron”
“Zetsuboshita! This money grubbing world has left me in despair.”
This is why I just don’t do microblogs. I’m just an uninteresting and uninterested specimen of humanity
So idk why someone would want to randomly know about me through DM
Personally I only ask after interacting for months, and I only offer mine the same way. By that I mean in positive interactions.
I agree with others that say it might be an awkward way to get to know you
In general though I just don’t like to be DM’d unsolicited without me stalking following the account and get to know the vibe
I was just on Zorin OS web page and I like what I am seeing.
Have to set some time aside this weekend to seeing dual booting it
Oooh I should try that
The inventor and original owner of the company didn’t get it either, AFAIK. He resisted a lot of things that makes aeropress more expensive just for the sake of it. Well he had to cash out sooner or later and this became of it.
Now I might be talking out of my ass, based on half unremembered internet tales.
But here’s my own opinion on this: premium aeropress is just for people to showboat they have money.
I would instead pay for big aeropress though. Makes it easier to share coffee.
Yep this is what I meant @turret3857@infosec.pub
Oh so that’s why my car has a litany of weird sounds
Ignore the fact that I procrastinate servicing
As a kson fan, I’m jealous he keeps drawing fubuki lol. At the same time I’m happy for him getting to work with his kamioshi
I assume it got worse because lenovo bought the smartphone division of Motorola years ago. Back then, yeah they were the bomb. I still look back fondly of my Moto Z Play. Its astounding what they did with it. Such “paltry” specs but it ran like a champ. Bloat from future android versions and moto getting acquired by lenovo put it down sadly.
