The second paragraph is just that. Contempt for (western) Jewish people because they are (apperently) pro immigration and are now supposedly reaping the consequences of that.
I’m not trying to excuse the anti-semitism, just this more of a comment on immigration that Jews themselves. Just like how these people attack the LGBT community for supporting Palestine.
I mean that’s a whole different kettle of fish isn’t it? Race is basically nonsense with concrete definitions and white especially is all over the place in terms of who “counts”. And people who are ethnically Jewish fsce discrimination because of it, so there is non antisemitic reasons to differentiate them (although I’m 100% not saying that’s what happening here.)
People who are ethnically Jewish (I am one of them) face discrimination for it in large part because many white people consider us an “other” who is not white. Despite the fact that we benefit from our whiteness almost as much as they do.
This reads more like he hates Muslims/immigrants and is using antisemitism as a weapon to try and get Jewish people to hate them too.
I have no idea how you could interpret it that way. Absolutely no one else did.
Even the White House decided to comment on it: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67446800
And he basically admitted it because he then did some really stupid damage control: https://www.lemonde.fr/en/pixels/article/2024/01/23/elon-musk-says-he-was-naive-on-antisemitism-as-he-visits-auschwitz_6456954_13.html

The comment he claimed was “the actual truth” included the suggestion that there’s a difference between white people and Jews. Most Jews are white.
