I think the idea is that making fun of the way people look isn’t ok because it makes negative associations for anyone who has similar traits. It hurts more than just the intended recipient. There are plenty of ways to make fun of Trump without making fun of his body.
I agree with you in general, with the following caveats:
Fuck that guy. He’s a rapist and a fraud. He makes fun of disabled reporters. He calls dead veterans losers. He has lost the privilege of my sympathy.
Nobody else actually cares about the size of his hands. In fact, they’re probably a normal size. It’s Trump who has this weird narcissistic, dysmorphic obsession with his hands. So we’re not laughing at the way he looks, just his psychological problems. Maybe that’s worse, but I don’t care because (1).

I think that making fun of Trump in the way that would hurt him the most is cathartic.
