Glad to see that you can import the model from Blender and the transparency just works. Also the index of refraction table in the Bevy docs was very helpful! All models made by my wife 😅

Okay I thought you meant windows as either like Windows (the OS) support or windows, as in the desktop element (like a windowed mode or something).

Turns out you added literal windows to a building game lol. Thanks for the laugh

Funny, it looks like my post accidentally turned out to be clickbait and and now it more upvoted the my other posts 😅 . But I will try to put more context next time to avoid confusion.

      Thanks!

Makes sense, I probably should put more context in the description… And maybe adjust titles, something like “Game progress: added windows”?

Also, I need your opinion, I should post here less often? I usually do this about once a week, but since there aren’t many posts here, I feel like I’ve taken over the community 😄 I usually post in !projectharmonia@lemmy.ml and do a cross-post.

That’s really smooth. The boolean and mesh don’t line up perfectly so it feels like there’s ghosting and that’s jank, but I’m impressed by how smoothly the window moves.

      Thanks!

Yes, I suspect that there is one frame delay somewhere, need to debug…

It’s fast because it’s not really a boolean operation in 3D. I treat my walls and windows/doors as 2D planes and cut out the holes in 2D. It’s much cheaper. And then I convert the coordinates into 3D.
