      Yeah, what OP posted isn’t a gotcha for MAGA types. Speaking from experience, “because we said so” is literally what their policy justifications boil down to if you really corner them on justifying their policies.

      That’s very 2024. Now they are arresting German and Northern European immigrants too. They are also moving past “illegal” because US visas don’t actually mean a thing now - the US border control has arrested several people with valid visas already. And when people get used to this, they’ll be able to disappear anyone and claim they weren’t American citizens.

      I think they tried, but the least communist place on this website is the Linux sub on sh.itjust.works and they’ll get pissy about the MIT license versus the GPL. The conservatives didn’t stick around, the community went unmoderated, the local kids were looking for a fun clubhouse to play in…

      If I recall correctly, until recently (a few months ago?), this community was legit conservative. But then someone noticed all the mods had left. Users thought it would be funny to take the community over by posting conservative satire in it. New mods applied to take charge, they updated the sidebar, and now here we all are.
