use paper plates for most things when nobody is around
By the power of podcasts, I have become equipped to handle the Sisyphean daily tasks. I used to dread them, now I don’t mind them at all.
I might become a nudist just to get out of folding the laundry.
I just leave it in the basket. Clean basket, dirty basket.
What’s so bad about the laundry if you have a washing machine?
i own a washing machine. laundry is a breeze.
dishwashers arent nearly as good, but they help a lot.
WTF a dishwasher is much better than a washing machine. Unload it whenever you want, no sorting colors, even really baked in stuff gets dealt with.
If your dishwasher sucks, there’s probably something wrong with it, or the way you use it. (Look up technology connections for a comprehensive guide on how to use your dishwasher)
wait do you guys really sort colors to wash clothes?
i just throw them randomly in the washing gauntlet.
yeah otherwise my light shirt comes out covered in dark fibers and vice versa. When I had only muted colors I was able to wash together. I also started switching to non toxic clothes but still have some synthetic items so they’re separated too, so the safe clothes don’t get unnecessary covered in microplastics (they’re emitted more intensively during washing). And then wool and other delicate clothes get ruined by normal spinning cycle so they need to be washed separately too.
But I just have a divider in my laundry basket so I don’t have to sort them out
My dream is to have two dishwashers so I don’t need to unload. Just pull dishes out of the clean one when needed and put back into the dirty one
this is some stoned kind of lazy genius. if i ever come across a cheap one again and i will do it and report back. is there a reminder bot on lemmy?
This is why I always wash dishes as soon as I am done with them. Sure it might take longer but it means that they always get done.
Oh nice, a phone wallpaper that both sums up a fraction of my anxiety AND reminds me to stop procrastinating!
