You might not think 40 minutes of un-commented gameplay footage would be entertaining, but I enjoyed it. These videos are useful for people who can’t remember the name of a certain game they might have played, but can at least remember the system it was on.
Ah yes, the Cho Aniki series. As Wikipedia puts it, “For various reasons, the popularity of the Cho Aniki games has endured since the series’ debut. Highlights of the various games include in-game music, innovative control schemes, or sheer kitsch value. In Japan, these games are examples of baka-ge, which literally means “idiot game” whose appeal lies in its campiness.” It’s still popular enough for a collection to have come out on the Nintendo Switch not too long ago.
I find the shooting action to be only average, in spite of the over-the-top bonkers presentation, personally.
Good to know I suppose. I like silly games (Bullet Heaven by Kupo comes to mind) but they have to execute well.
