Looks like neonazis are unaware that Hitler was vegetarian (from 1938, til the end of his life.)

Not that I expect neonazis to be knowledgeable about history, or capable of recognizing their own hypocrisy. It’s just somewhat amusing that if this meme holds true, even their Fuhrer’s dietary choices would’ve upset them.

The counterpoint to the claim is that he supposedly “tested” his cyanide pills on his dogs as the Red Army closed in on the bunker. I’d argue that every pet owner is going to euthanize a pet at some point and there probably couldn’t have been a crueler act than letting the Soviets capture a dog they knew was yours, if you’re literally Hitler.

Hitler wasn’t a demon in a human suit, he was a person and people are quite often the kind hypocrites that can refuse to eat meat because of animal cruelty while supporting slave labor and human slaughterhouses.

Every vegetarian capitalist does it every day whether they admit it or not.

      It’s not going to.

You’re going to actually have to appeal to their voters. Maybe you can promise them the deportations they want but done in a more discerning and ethical manner.

        Lolwut

Why would anyone vote for AfD-lite when they can just vote for the full AfD?

By the way, this is the strategy of the “conservatives”. It can be summarized with the Instagram post of one of their more relevant politicians:

“You don’t have to vote for AfD to achieve everything you want. There is a democratic alternative: the CDU”

        Fascism-lite is still fascism.

If the democracy wants fascism, the democracy gets fascism.

If progressive liberals cannot compete, then that’s tragic and means freedoms will be lost and people will get hurt.

Not competing for the voter isn’t an option. But ethical deportation is possible. If that’s not the solution, then we need to figure out what the solution is, if they really are about to gain significant influence.

They’ve left the crybaby stage behind them some time. Currently they are becoming more and more (seperation to make it easilyy recognizable the following links to another groupp) militant.

And those are just groups, not to mention the occasional Reichsbürger opening fire on the police. This paragraph purposefully does not include the Reichsbürger opening fire and injuring a police officer during a raid in Reutlingen since it’s part of the “Patriotische Union” complex.

But I’m glad we’ve explicitely banned knives in downtown areas, because those are the real threat to our society. Sorry, those are still terrorists sympathetic to the AfD, but this time individuals

But it’s those darn arabs that are the downfall of europe. Got you again, these two carried out attacks after praising the AfD’s policies or even calling them too weak

So congratulations, your uncle is not just difficult to endure, he might also be openly supporting the most active terrorists in germany since the heyday of the RAF.

I know who they are but what is the context of this?

There’s not more context than this. Meat consumption is a topic they often use to rile people up. And it works. Totally out of the blue on Christmas the braindead part of my family started to rant about people who dare to put vegetables on a grill instead of meat.

This topic pulls the right(s) triggers so they play it on repeat and that’s what this meme is about.

Edit: I totally forgot today a few years back a politician from the AfD said something song the lines of “we are going to get you, too grain eater” to someone ordering the vegetarian option in the canteen if the Bundestag.

      @tobogganablaze@lemmus.org

The short scene takes place in a canteen of the Bundestag. The former Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks of the SPD describes her at the lectern. One employee from the AfD faction had perceived that “another ordered a vegetarian dish,” reports Hendricks. The AfD employee had come to say: “We also get the way, their grain eater.”

The translator may have made some mistakes, the original quote might actually actually go: “we are going to get you”

Yes it does, the translation actually has several mistakes. Here is a better one (from deepl.com/translator):

The short scene takes place in a Bundestag canteen. Former Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks from the SPD describes it at the lectern. A member of staff from the AfD parliamentary group noticed “that someone else was ordering a vegetarian dish”, reports Hendricks. In response, the AfD employee said: “We’ll get you too, you grain-eaters.”
