They felt betrayed by their fellow LGBTQ+, feminists and ethnic minorities who called for a cease fire, because according to them “anti-zionism is anti-semitism”.

Those people you are labelling as “progressive” are in no way progressive, not even by their own standards. Conservative Jews are very much a thing.
