Now there’s a frood who really knows where his towel is 👍
What Is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
this post provides a good overview of this issue and possible solution. https://popcar.bearblog.dev/lemmy-needs-to-fix-its-community-separation-problem/
Supposedly Google would have better time taking care of just one consumer OS instead of two, so Android is getting some PC features so that it will be able to replace ChromeOS in the future.
Thia does not look like Google Docs alternative. Readme.md says that it is much more limited, with the purpose of simplicity.
You want something closer to FOSS alternative to Google Docs?
Check out OnlyOffice anf Collabora office. Both can be integrated into NextCloud.
Or CryptPad, that is also good one.
Then go a step further and check out OpenDesk, a project that aims to be a collection of various FOSS services in order to create an alternative to Microsoft Office 365 / Google Suite.
It is being heralded by ZenDiS, which is mentioned in the post that you linked to.
“accidentally inhale”
heh, then YOU could run Linux
which reminds me of this sketch from LoadingReadyRun where Linux gets installed on everything, even a person:

StackOverflow says that it can be done by editing xrdp.ini:

Is there a specific reason for choosing RDP?
VNC is the most common protocol in Linux. And RustDesk is also a good, more advanced alternative.
Matrix (Element or other clients) seems to be the most popular one.
we are still waiting for some proper Linux on original Snapdragon X
in the following order:
There have been discussions about this in the Lemmy Github repo issues. Latest info AFAIK is that this feature is waiting for some volunteer to implement it. Current developers said that they are busy with other features.
But yes, this is something that I would also like to see very much. Allowing same-topic communities to connect would be good for whole Fediverse.
which generative model did you use to generate this post?
your best bet is probably to take a look at Lutris. Both client and website. And then go from there.
Think about how multiple instances of the website should interact with each other. And think about how the client would work with such system.
Also, aren’t there a few open source Steam clients? See if there is anything useful in those projects as well.
ah yes, that, wormhole.app, that is closed source. (but if I am reading this correctly, some early iteration of it is open source. https://github.com/saljam/webwormhole )
Magic wormhole is a different thing.
can you link to the post that claims the protocol is not open? I’m interested in looking into that
anyway, source for the magic wormhole can be found here: https://github.com/magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole which also links to both the Mailbox code and the Transit Relay code.
While others already pointed out the similarity to persistent LiveUSB, I would argue that this also feels a bit like Android desktop modes, like Samsung Dex.
This could be relevant:

yes, valid point, thank you for the correction
no they are not
