Thanks, good to know! I like how easy it is to check
Trump sounds like a tired old man who cannot think of all the consequences of a decision, so he’s just picking the laziest option.
There’s no precedent in history for multiple nuclear powers waging a war, or getting pulled into one. There’s no telling what can happen because we’ve simply never been here before.
And people who think their money or resources will save them from black swan events are forgetting all the previous black swan events which made losers of everyone. The Great Recession and Covid are two most recent ones.
Most of all though, the major winners of WW2 are utter failures now. Britain is crumbling and not even a shell of its former glory, and America is eating itself from the inside out thanks to Russian PsyOps war 300 while Republican losers are salivating after ww3.
So no, ww3 is not going to MAGA, but more like nail the MAGA coffin shut
Well, there’s no karma so if you’ve saved threads or comments, I’d quickly archive those somewhere. Then just link to this account in your new account bio
I am so sorry you’re going through that! Good luck, hope it gets better!
Seems like a good problem to have, idk 🤷♀️
I think UBI and reskilling or upskilling programs with apprenticeship placements would help. I am not saying coding boot camps, I am saying more specialized stuff like electrical grid maintenance etc
Just tapping that linuxsy
I guess I don’t buy enough for that to be an issue 🤷♀️
The trick is to either get an example from them of what they think is a descriptive invoice, or to break down your invoice filling procedure into a step by step workflow or checklist.
Someone isn’t necessarily being an asshole, that person has their own struggles, goals and priorities. Managing a condition and someone else’s expectations or their own condition is the hardest part of working together. This is where soft skills help, too
Urban planning is tricky, some times nice ideas have super tricky executions. Planting fruit/food trees in public spaces also accounts for rodents and pests, and managing disease vectors. Was just reading about fruit bats and Marburg virus spread in Central Africa…, regardless, just something that needs to be done with planning and consideration https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2013/04/23/178603623/want-to-forage-in-your-city-theres-a-map-for-that
Your mistake was inviting a fire demon to dinner, it’s better to invite them to brunch
What’s good about Amazon anyway? It’s better to get stuff directly from a sellers site, even better if they’re indie. There’s not much value to prime shipping anymore, most sellers are pretty good about it now ironically because of Amazon. Using services like Amazon just creates more pollution, wage depression and small business closures. Use services like Amazon less, favor indie and small and fair wage businesses
Sorting by New people problems. I don’t run into any of that just looking at the main page of lemmy.world, and I am not even subbed to anything except !accidentalrenaissance@lemmy.blahaj.zone
The poorer families in those states make do better than poorer families in red states, but not enough to support having kids
That sucks, I hope you get some time to relax
I think the problem is that it’s targeting residents, which is how you know the policy was drafted by anti-environmental proponents, regardless of what anyone says. Carbon taxes need to target companies, not residents. Companies and industries are the main producers of carbon emissions, the output of residents pales in comparison.
