I don’t remember them being a good video game company. I never liked any of the games they made (but obviously that’s subjective). I went through wikipedia for the list of their games, and only ones I found that I had ever bothered playing was Breath of Fire I/II, Myst. They’ve always kind of been a middling developer; I think the games I listed they were just the publisher. They release something, it’s popular for a week, it gets mixed reviews, and then it falls to the wayside again.

I’ve never bought shit by EA or Ubisoft - not because I’m boycotting them or anything, just because their shit isn’t that good. They just feel like they’re lacking ‘soul’. Watched plenty of friends play through Assassins Creed, and Far Cry, Rainbow 6, etc - just - never looked any good.

I’m saying that Amazon has no monetary interest in Twitch.

Taxes are monetary losses. Twitch is providing monetary benefit to Amazon. That is their ‘success’. That IS their survival.

AWS is only cheap for them artificially. You keep replying as if Twitch needs to make a profit to be ‘successful’. It doesn’t. It doesn’t need AWS to be artificially cheap either. You’re missing the forest for the trees.

Twitch provides value to Amazon by operating at a loss and paying for AWS on the back end, Twitch might appear less profitable (or even operate at a loss), AWS still records revenue from the transactions. You’re looking at the surface, where Twitch needs to be individually profitable. Companies use shells like this in far deeper ways for their own tax benefits.

This allows Amazon to shift their tax burden to a company that’s operating “at a loss”, and keep the revenue with AWS and show record profits.

Companies wouldn’t just buy others up, intending that all they do is cause harm. Twitch is being leveraged in deeper ways.

Nah. Those games weren’t bad at all. Aren’t bad today either. Go play OG Ninja Gaiden, or Mario Kart, or Mario World, or hell BATTLETOADS. Or Metroid.

Or the original Zelda. God damn games were good. Even damn Tetris is good.

I know enough history to see where this is headed. I hope it won’t be an immediate firestorm, and I feel as if there are a lot of people in a lot of high up places that won’t just let Cheeto-man arbitrarily take control like he wants. So it won’t be an overnight thing. I already stockpile ammo, Republicans don’t have a monopoly on gun rights, thankfully. If I gotta skedaddle, I have both a place in Canada I can stay, and a place over in the UK temporarily. I’m, unfortunately surrounded by these imbiciles - but I keep my head down enough that most of them think I’m one too. Family already has their passports sorted.

Germany wasn’t an overnight thing either. It’ll start with rounding up political rivals and immigrants into camps. If that comes to pass, that’s my litmus test for getting the fuck out of dodge.

Nah. In many places of the US you’re told that it’s your “identity”. Kentucky, Tennessee, etc – They are told from birth that they “ARE” Republicans. That it’s a physical, tangible thing that identifies them. And yes - when they pick a side, it’s based on their political leanings. Who leans closer to someone who’s going to pick a republican candidate? Jill Stein, or Chase Oliver? – the answer is Chase Oliver.

The people who are Republicans that would be voting third party aren’t just going to vote for HARD-D. They’re going to vote for someone closer to their home turf. They’re going to vote for Chase Oliver (or maybe RFK in the states he’s still on the ballot) as – at best – a protest vote.

FPTP is going to eventually converge into a 2 party system in the end anyways, it’s basic statistics. Without a different method of voting, third party candidates are a throw-away vote.

You’re not wrong about the rest - but your matchup of “Jill Stein is taking voters from Trump” is waaaaaaaaay off in left field. It’s such a shiitake mushroom that you’d literally have to be living under a rock for the past 20 years to believe such a thing.

Nobody who voted, or leans Trumps way has ever voted for Jill Stein ever.

Yeah, the whole “Cult of Personality” thing is solidly in Trumps hands - because look at him: The guy never backs down off of a lie. He can’t. He won’t. No other republican has had the bravado to be that stupidly bold.

IF by some absolutely obscene miracle we manage to avoid him this election term - then I suspect he’ll be gone for good. Nobody is going to put a 2-term loser up for president for a 3rd time. ---- Though I’ve been wrong in the past.

They have term limits over there in Russia as well, but they have interpreted it as “only allowed X years in a row”…so Putin installs a crony for 1 session every X years, and then magically wins the votes by a landslide every other time.

That’s what they’ll end up doing. They’ll ‘interpret’ it as consecutive terms, and we’ll get 8 years of Trump, then 4 of Vance, then 8 of Trump, etc.

Bonus: I believe they’ll be doing something wild with Vance as well - probably temporarily making him president, while he pardons Trump for any past crimes, and then giving the presidency back to Trump.

I believe the goal and intent is to get enough results into question that they kick it into Mike Johnson’s hands - and that mfer has almost no history at all. No bank account, nothing. He’ll do the thing, it’ll be contested, it’ll go to supreme court, where – surprise surprise, they’ll rule in favor of Donald J Trump and he will be elected our new Dictator. At which point he’ll be sworn in, because - Dems have never had any backbone - and then he’ll proceed to gut every institution which questions him, and turn this nation into an autocracy.

What people don’t realize yet, is that the election doesn’t matter unless Kamala wins by such a large margin that they can’t pull this off. They require the veil of uncertainty for this all to work. But since we’re on razor-thin margins, it’s going to happen anyways.

We’re already boned, and nobody realizes it yet. The playbook is out in the open and the media has stopped calling this out. They’re complicit in it, because they think the leopards won’t eat their face too. So they’re cozying up early.
