I’m not sure. On Earth we have the geoid model which uses the ocean as a reference line. I’m not sure how they do it on mars but i assume it’s such that the average height is zero, in other words, if it’s positive on some locations, it needs to be negative at some other locations?

i keep remembering that i’d like to take some again, but i just don’t feel ready for it these days.

At this point i can’t get excited about Musk’s starship anymore. He really fucked things up too hard last year when he threatened to slash social security. There’s no excuse for that, he needs to go.

In the same vein, it’s good to see some chinese competition. If it weren’t for china, i’m not sure the americans would have any motivation to develop spaceflight themselves. they need a kick in the butt, and they’re getting one.
