From early reviews it seems penalty for emulation is in single digits. Also honestly I am considering one just to watch movies but my intereat would depend on the price of course. So wait we must.

There is still some optionality like maybe you get a windfall from a boomer dying and you can pay the principal. Or in 30 years your currency devalues to the point you can afford the principal.
Anyway it all feels like fool’s hope. Situation is fucked.

You are right, I had forgotten that, Mint XFCE might be 3gigs on HDD, but it’s quite light on processor and RAM. Anyway my suggestion is invalid for x86 requirement.

Tiny Core can loadit self into RAM, but it doesn’t have to, you can do a normal install as well. Also even if you want to run it from RAM, it only takes 46MB in RAM not ideal but manageable with 512MB. Also you can even downgrade if you are not UI dependent, you can install the core (non-tiny version) and only needs 26MB RAM.

I wanted to say tiny Core, but someone gave that. So I’ll give another suggestion. Use something XFCE based or LXQt based. Maybe mint in XFCE De is the way to go if you want a feature rich solution that is light on resources.

This is the answer. Tiny Core is absolute best for old hardware as it gets running upto speed quickly takes very little resources and you can see what kind of resources it consumes and can add things to it to make it useful.

Sorry OP, you got downvoted in so many comments, some of which I thought was undeserved, but some of it is deserved. You asked a question, but came off as wanting to prove everyone else who doesn’t listen to music is crazy. Everyone is different, you do you. I think it’s very important to train brain to be content without any stimulation and therefore, I think, I play music in my brain, I plan rest of my day or next day, and most of all I introspect when I’m walking around.
And my life isn’t even complicated and I find tons of things to Introspect, so hard for me to imagine people get bored with introspection, but you do you. If boredom is such a massive problem for you because of ADHD, perhaps carry a power bank.

Pow ( like bow wow) + Ned (like Ned Stark)

English is technically my fourth language and I started learning it at age 12. However I really got good around age 16 when I started watching a lot of Hollywood movies with subtitles. Even now when I speak fluent English, with dare I say some “elegance”, i prefer my movies with subtitles, because it’s just a happy place in my mind.

Coma has body functions still working, so blood pumping, ceels dying and regenerating, which means if you had cancer it would grow, if you had kidney failure, your blood cleanup would fail. Only thing AFAIK medically induced coma does is help with anything that the brain might be doing to itself like swelling or other complications.
Hibernation supposedly would slow down all metabolical functions, so less to no, blood flow and so on.

Demo was useless, they never showed climbing, never showed a person sitting on it. I doubt it’s even ergonomic.
Seemed gimmicky

Should ever be forgot

I don’t know about a lot of industries, but in finance, having a non-compete at least for a few weeks is essential as of your trading positions are known to your competitors, you end up losing quite a lot. I know it’s one giant asshole protecting itself from another giant asshole, but at least I know that usecase is justified.
For profit journalism is a curse to the society. All news source globally should be non-profit with ad revenues enough to ensure comfortable wages to reporters. There should be a capped revenue beyond which And any excess ad revenues should be put in a trust that helps to save niche journalism that might not be ad lucrative.
Of course inflation and national wage should be adjusting said cap every year.
And that dream will probably never come True in my lifetime, but hey a man can dream.

They have done some good work in last few years, specially the events here and there are fun. But after the event campaign is over. There is nothing else to hope for.

Reminds me of no man’s sky and it’s empty bajillions of planets.
My biggest achievement is getting a grand master to play for 34 moves before I lost. Felt like an eternity to think and mind you the grandmaster was playing 16 games together. I would calculate next 10 moves, it will take me 15 minutes and the GM would come and look at board move in under 10 seconds and move on to fuck another player. Our local chapter head got to 41 moves before losing.
Stolen joke, bad timing. But it’s funny.
That is genius, I wish I was that smart.
Anchor and chains in 20m waters is much cheaper.
