I can still see the pic. Weird.

I guess that’s how it’s used in recent years, but it was definitely 4chan speak in the past and it was definitely pejorative. I still associate it with channers and incels. I recognize that the term has ironically been taken over by the “normies” themselves but that inevitably happens to all memes and slang.
They’ve always hated each other. They’re basically both vying for the same thing, which is to be the greatest Sarah Palin imposter of the age. Washington isn’t big enough for two of those. Boebert’s likely to be voted out next election so she’s trying to do something memorable (like a doomed Biden impeachment) so she can land a Fox News gig. But Greene thought of it first! It’s a race to the bottom of the spiral.
You can watch it on Invidious (which is an open source front end for youtube):
Lemmy is young, so an enthusiastic community of a few hundred people can control the flow of the front page if they all upvote everything en bloc. I’ve had to block several meme pages for that reason. It will eventually even out, probably.
Like I don’t hate memes necessarily but I hate meme communities. Forced memes are the worst.
That was just their typical projection, and lo and behold, they did actually lose their minds when they lost. Some of them tried to overthrow the government too. Meanwhile nothing of the sort happened in 2016 when they elected a con man President, despite them saying it would.
Under settings there’s a tab for blocks at the top and it has a list and you can manage them there. At least there is on lemm.ee, but I’d assume all lemmy sites have it.
Come on Cohagen, you got what you want! Give these people air!
You’re right about bad candidates. Crist was just a terrible choice. I think the old school thought he was a safe choice, like Biden, but he’s so boring and already had his chance at being governor. Republicans do outnumber Dems slightly, but Biden got more votes in 2020 than DeSantis got in 2022. The potential votes are there, the Dems just need to earn them and a candidate that people can get enthusiastic about is a start.
