This is the man who said “you send your kid to school as a boy, and they change his sex and send him home a girl.” He told his rally goers that schools do sex changes and they believed him.

As much as I love her, America will never elect a female president anytime soon. There are many men who believe the presidency is a man’s job.
Surprise? He’s threatened to throw out the constitution because “we don’t need it.” And he has SCOTUS and Congress to let him do what he wants. Plus he’ll have an AG that will basically be his lawyer. Trump is going to do whatever he wants.
What’s Bluesky going to do to combat Russian bots and misinformation, and essentially keep it from becoming Twitter/X?
A lot of that was forgotten a long time ago.
I saw on more than one occasion that guys didn’t vote for Kamala because she didn’t go on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
I think to some extent, Kamala said exactly how she planned on making things better. Trump didn’t say anything, and as usual had no plans. He still got elected. I saw an article last week about Trump saying not saying what his plans were helped him. What sense does that make, when a guy like Trump, who’s never had a plan or a rational suggestion to anything (“let’s nuke the hurricanes!”), can not say a damn thing about what his policies would be and still get elected? That tells me the Dems were drastically out of touch.
I was just watching an interview last night. Maybe it was 60 Minutes, but they were talking to a woman about this. They told basically all this same info - inflation going down, gas going down, jobs increased, wages increased. The woman said, “I didn’t see any of that. My wage didn’t go up.” No idea what she does, if her job is eligible for a wage increase, but basically she was saying none of that impacted her personally or positively, so she voted for Trump.
Republicans cry foul with every election. The Dems should call for a recount too.
Republicans will control Congress. I’m sure they’ll be fine rolling anything back.
The thing is, we have no straws. We’ll just bitch and moan about Roe and the school shooting du jour, but not much good comes out of it.
They won’t. They’re not going to do anything but hand everything to Trump on a silver platter.
It’s only a coup if it’s against them. If they’re orchestrating ir, it’s “being patriotic.”
Hasn’t he already threatened Letitia James and called her a fat ass?
I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls the US out of NATO and the UN, since he hates both organizations.
This assumes women will still be able to work. A lot of men would prefer to go back to the 1950’s where women couldn’t do much but stay at home and have kids. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see voting rights being removed for certain people (namely women and minorities). At the very least, voting access will be severely limited. The point is to keep them in power while still giving the impression we’re a democracy. Kinda like how Russia does it and Putin happens to win every election by a huge amount (and all his opponents end up dead, kinda like what Teump has been threatened).
Hope for the best, expect the worse.
You can’t hold someone accountable if they don’t think they did anything wrong. They firmly believe they’re in the right, and will never believe Trump can or will do anything wrong. Anything bad that comes out of his administration, they’ll just say it was Biden’s fault. Kinda like how some Republicans supporters thought Obama was president during 9/11.
Everyone should save as much money as they can and probably not play the stock market. I have a feeling 401k’s are going to take a gigantic shit.
I have no idea what’s going to happen. I hope none of this happens. it’s just a very pessimistic gut feeling.
Welcome to corporate America. This country cares about corporations, not people or labor.
Haha be thankful for what you have. I work at a pretty large financial institution and we still use Skype for Business. There is another messaging app we use but not everyone is granted access to it so I have to use both apps daily.
