Everything that was not American had worldwide recognition, but there was a question on a random US football team’s facility.

I’m really curious how “AI” helped him golf, other than providing basic advice he could have found just as easily anywhere else.
He’s lucky his AI is not Mr Meeseeks from Rick & Morty.
I know I would. Got 4 too, but there’s 2 more I had guessed and didn’t know the English term for. However one name was autocorrected to the American spelling, and was counted as correct, so, nice.
And of course, one of them was about some kind of US sportsball thing.
So, about that first one. My first reaction was like, are you supposed to steal the girl’s shoe and keep it? Or maybe just “borrow” it and stealthily get it back to her after you’re done infusing it with bits of love shrubs?
But then I went to check what kind of plant rue is. Turns out it’s generally quite toxic and any part of the plant may cause ugly skin reactions just on contact.
Magic!
Unfortunately soon everybody will be like “no you aren’t, nobody can afford a real desktop computer anymore, I know you have a phone.”

Gaming@beehaw.org•What was the last physical retail store game purchase you've made?
4·2 days agoGot Fantasy Life i on switch just two weeks ago.
Technically a Japanese cartridge because it’s the only physical edition, but it!s the same as the e-shop, all included languages and compatible with the Switch 2 upgrade patch.
I am still buying Switch 2 physical games, but only if they’re actually on the cartridge and not that empty keycard bullshit.

Ah yes, Or similar, great GPU, love it.
Sure, looks impressive, but just wait till the castle towers start moving to crush him.

Technology@lemmy.world•Check your storage: Chrome may be downloading a 4GB AI model — here’s what we knowEnglish
2·3 days agoI have stopped using chrome on mobile too.
Problem is, on a stock android you can’t remove chrome, only hide it. So my point is, if they decide to force the model download on a chrome update, even if you never use it, it’ll still ruin a good chunk of your storage space.

2·3 days agoAt least gemini isn’t a forced install… on my device it isn’t, in any case. I sure hope it stays that way.

2·3 days agoNext time I change my phone, I’ll look into it (and probably choose it for that purpose). I don’t want to risk ditching official support on this one just yet.
Google aside, I chose a phone that comes relatively crap-free.

9·3 days agoI haven’t had desktop chrome for quite some time, and I certainly never will again after that.
But I certainly hope they are not planning to push that shit on android. Leave my fucking storage alone, google
For some reason they didn’t even push the direct/announcement to EU switches. For a game that releases in less than 2 months.
That said, hard to be excited for another Star Fox 64 remake, no matter how many animated cutscenes we get.
EDIT : they finally sent it. Even their comm around this feels like an afterthought.
I am baffled by the gamecube mug’s lack of use.

201·4 days agoYou’re missing the point. The important thing about AI is to cram it in every single part of everyone’s life without their consent, so you can tell your investors “see? number goes up, everybody uses AI”.
Who cares about making the experience better? It’s just about drowning people in it and pretend there is a need for it.

For scientific purposes, any system would be kinda hard to reestablish, without a definition that everyone agrees upon and a way to measure it accurately. The imperial system does not provide that definition at all.
For everyday purposes… what kind of apocalypse would result in the complete destruction of all of the world’s measuring tape?

Yeah, roux is a French word for red, either an orange-y kind of red, as in red hair, or in that case, turning to a reddish color (often through heating). That’s what happens when you heat butter (or another kind of fat) in a roux.
I don’t think either rue or roux will be very appreciated when the lady gets back her shoe.
