It makes you afraid to speak truth to power, which is what the tech dudebros want. Look at how far to the right Twitter has swung since Musk’s takeover. That’s what Reddit wants.
People are prefacing their comments on reddit with “I’m not advocating violence” just to avoid getting banned. The climate there has shifted dramatically recently.
I keep getting banned for the most ridiculously benign comments. They aren’t serious adults there.
