Busuu is a lot like Duolingo but you also get to trade corrections with real people learning your native language
Aside from stores that literally don’t exist, I miss the old versions of sites that suck now
Google when it was a text box and a search button, with no sponsored results or AI
Sites like Newgrounds being filled with awesome flash content and communities
The internet in general being a bunch of organic communities instead of a corporate driven hellhole
I couldn’t totally follow what you’re saying. Is it that being marginalized or tolerant is punk? I would agree only in the sense that embracing those things is an act of rebellion.
For your first point, I’d say while there is more information there’s also much more disinformation. I’m not sure which is winning, but I think it might not be the one we want.
What is a non rebellious punk?
Especially if you only give it back once you’re done with it and about to die 🤔
It’s a step above the other immoral billionaires I guess

Totally, this was kind of a new approach at the time, and the expectation then was that we’d get a new album of new songs.
I remember when it came out there was a lot of “why didn’t you make new songs” sentiment. Even though I liked the tracks I agreed. Hybrid Theory was the biggest breakthrough album of the genre and instead of a real follow-up all we got was remixes?? It seemed like they were trying to milk more money out of the first album instead of “being creative” enough to make new music. It took another few years before Meteora came out.
I wonder if I’ll just have to stop reading comments eventually once they are all just LLMs

That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.
I’m a fan of 12 months of 30 with a 5 day new years in between
In any case, you understand why conventions exist and persist despite imperfection
