5·21 hours agoA fair few doesn’t have a good pronunciation in other languages that those native speakers can reliably understand. That’s why we have localizations in the first place. Here in Sweden, Turkey (Turkiet) doesn’t sound like the bird (kalkon). It makes more sense to show the localized name and their internal name next to each other, and this is already common in many maps.
Your body knows not to start with important organs. It does take a while before it leads to damage (measurable shortened lifespan or lowered health / quality of life). If you have fat reserves, the most important thing is covering the nutrients our body can’t produce (salts, some vitamins, etc)to avoid actual damage if fasting for a week or more.

Lots of new EVs have heat pumps, in cold climates they need it because the car doesn’t generate enough heat just from running.
You still need a heat pump for cooling in ICE cars
Air conditioners make it cold inside the unit at a condensation surface, collecting the water from the humid air there.
But that’s not how you defog a window, you heat the window until the air in contact with it can hold more water and so the water evaporates faster due to both water and air temperature. THEN this air can be pulled back into the AC to deposit it there with condensation.
Window / mirror defog doesn’t work like regular dehumidification that way. Especially not in cars / bathrooms where you might be having a too high stream of humid air coming in, then you focus on one surface (and since the windshield don’t tend to have heating wires, it uses the AC hot air)
There’s a 300 MB library for audio compression using it. If you have large audio libraries it could eventually become worth the tradeoff.

The important part for these codes is that it has pre-LLM functions for quality metrics to judge if the output is close enough to indistinguishable (preserves detail, doesn’t add any).

Sweden here, we have unions but no legal minimum wage.
For all the good, there’s still too many companies not unionized which mostly affects young people and foreigners with shit wages at shit jobs and with no legal minimum and far lower momentum for unionization these days these people don’t have a lot of leverage, stuck living with parents or in other shitty conditions to afford anything.
If you’re in a job with a good union it can be nice, but not all people have that luck.
