No, they are talking about Meta Avatars and Meta Horizon Worlds, the multiplayer platform for gaming and socializing that Meta itself created and in which the avatars originally didn’t feature legs.

Does it sound like Scarlett Johansson? If not, no.
And the dev has officially declared to be closing it’s doors.
Yep. Try to apply the Wadsworth constant to Veritassium and you’ll miss almost all the context of the video.
Yes. He’s joined by Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Mark Strong, Andy Serkis, John Rhys-Davies, Ben Mendelssohn, Liam Cunningham, and many others in Squadron 42, the story-based spinoff to Star Citizen.
… that may one day actually get released…
I will easily watch four 15 minute long videos, but I need to schedule some dedicated time to watch one hour-long video, or I’ll probably fall asleep.
It is absolutely irrelevant. Your point is the equivalent of saying that a kid’s bike with side wheels is easier to ride than 500cc racing bike, therefore racing bikes are just a “trendy choice” and people are silly for using them on races.
Ignorance is not an excuse for your bad arguments.
Tell us just ONE that is as capable and effective as Figma.
Designers don’t use Figma because it’s “trendy”, we do it because it’s the best tool for the job. The only free tool that comes even close to being good enough is PenPot, and even that is years away from being a true competitor.
There are collaboration tools in Figma that simply do not exist in the competition, so your ability to list tools that are also capable of drawing rectangles with round corners doesn’t mean anything if you can’t properly manage a design system that is reusable with a team of a dozen designers or more.
That could perhaps be explained by the fact that Zeplin does not have in any way the same goal as Figma.
Zeplin is not a design software, it’s a presentation and sharing platform. Yes, the one-trick pony is easier to navigate than the software used to create the damn ponies, that’s not much of a surprise.
Everyone also has the fundamental right to bodily autonomy. You can’t even force someone to do something as harmless as donate their blood, but somehow some people feel it’s just fine to hold a woman hostage and force her to host another living being, even if that might cause them terrible health issues or even their deaths… even if the “woman” in question is a child victim of sexual abuse… even if they don’t give a rat’s ass what happens to that child after birth, and will just being another child to be abused and left to die.
If you cared about the right to life, you would support the right to women and their doctors to make the best choices for their lives, and the lives of the children that will still need to be cared AFTER being born. Sorry, but you don’t care about fetuses, you care about controlling women.
Same. I used Boost for a while until I found Sync. I imagine the same will happen here.
I really hope that PenPot can catch up with Figma, it’s a decent alternative. But until at the very least they can offer better tools for components like variants and custom properties, there is just no way for anyone working professionally with Figma to switch.
