The filibuster that republicans remove when its convenient? The dems wouldnt need to proceed with the assumption the republicans were about to take control if they actually improved the immediate material conditions of their constituents. Theres also a million things they could have done by executive order.
They can get rid of the rule holding them back at any time.
Policies they don’t actually support. If they did, they wouldnt let Manchin or Liberman or the parliamentarian or “norms” stop them. We’ve seen the dems can smash through barriers the same way Republicans can, they did it to illegally send weapons to Israel. We’ve seen they can whip votes and discipline their own party, they do it to any progressive who doesnt fall in line.
Voting blue when they give us dogshit policies that help nobody and politicians who do nothing to stop Republicans, when they arent just doing republican’s jobs for them is why the dems keep losing against the “make everything worse” party.
Look at the competition. Against that, america should be a 1 party state, instead we have dems going to war, funding ICE (clinton did not do this, because ICE did not exist), and kicking the shit out of the politically activated youth they need to get people to vote showing generation after generation that they are a dead end for positive social change.
It wasnt morality that made an oligarch promote social democracy. People forget FDR’s last name was Roosevelt.
He’d watched his predecessor send in the tanks to raze a camp of protesters infront of the capitol, and in the previous 20 years saw the Russian Revolution, a failed revolution in Germany, and being old-money, had a broader perspective on keeping his class on top than the short-sighted new money.
FDR wasnt embracing socialism, he was buying guillotine insurance to save capitalism.
Voting for the blue racist fascist is how we got here!
Turns out people who want racist fascists are going to vote republican anyway.
That will not save you from your punishment.
Why does your house have so much food for them? Clean up better.

They still have a trade in program to get ICE vehicles off the road.

I was talking about china, their federal govt ended ev subsidies in 2022. I suspect some city and provincial level govts still do various types of subsidies.
We they imprisoned for not wanting to be controlled by a dictatorship?
Bro are you trying to justify slavery in the US? You dont have to do that to criticize China. But you have to have to learn about its actual problems, not just accept any silly stories western media comes up with. Try visiting some time, its incredibley cheap, you can rent out decent sized apartments for 15/night in most cities, theres also sleeper trains, combine transport and 1 nights lodging, and food is often <2usd/meal.
Imagine Trump declaring that every college grad needs to make themselves available to build a border wall.
That’s not how that works at all, they simply invest more into educating people into a particular field to ensure there will be enough people with the required skills in a particular area.
How did you even misinterpret my post like that?

I too would like them to be treated better, but I dont know if their overall situation is worse than the average american worker making 50K, but spending 24K on rent, 12K on car payments, and 16USD if they eat out.

slave labor
lmao. We know what slavery looks like, you can see it in the cotton fields outside Angola Prison, rows of enslaved people, and overseer on a horse, all behind barbed wire. In Xinjiang I saw farmers driving combine harvesters in roadside fields.
local resources that arent available
You’re getting closer. Through 1 and 5 year plans, the CPC uses SoEs (and sometimes just asks private companies “nicely”) to ensure the foundational inputs, steel, rubber, chips, college graduates, etc are all available to industry at the specific price point and volume that competing private firms need to produce say, 100m EVs or a million more apartments.
Any country can do a little central planning to make sure private industry has what it needs, but this only works if you’re able to take action against companies that exploit the system.
What circumstances foster that culture? Are there just not sufficiently convenient parking places?
How do you afford any of that in America?
The leftists are simple prescribing popular policy.
There is no such thing as a middle voter who likes “subsidies for insurance companies where you buy health insurance through 1 of 50 websites and have no idea what it will cost or what it will cover or where you can even get it” but doesnt like free healthcare.
There is no such thing as a middle voter who likes “40k towards a down-payment for first generation home-buyers who haven’t made a late payment in 5 years” who doesnt like public housing and rent control.
Triangulation was always just a pretense for the dems to push policy that is good for the donors but unpopular with the base. Your moderate republican is never going to vote for fascist-lite when the real thing is right there. They might vote for someone credibly promising to help them afford housing, college, and healthcare.
Leftists were telling their candidate what they needed to do to win. Instead of promising immediate improvements in peoples material conditions, they gave us genocide and Trump’s 2020 platform.
The democrats failing to block Republicans and running on dogshit policy that helps nobody got us here. You have to be pretty fucking awful to lose to Donald fucking trump twice.
Millennial are in their 30s and 40s, half the time theyre on the receiving end of OK Boomer.
IMO its great to be able to say “your lack of experience with the world as it exists now, and not 20+ years ago has left you unable and unwilling to understand. I am giving up trying to help you learn” in just 2 words
