I have Trivia Murder Party 1&2, which are great, but was hoping to find a couple other options to play with friends, esspecially those that have specific catagories you can choose to play or to include.
My wife always finds fun trivia cards at the thrift store. Maybe check there, unless you’re looking specifically for digital games.
Ah reread you message and you were asking specifically about trivia games. I thought you meant party games in general so I’ll just give you one of my favorites anyways!
Just One! - retails for about 20 bucks but you can DIY this with an online random noun generator and some bits of paper and pencils. This plays best with more than 4 players.
Cooperative game where the basic gist is one person is a guesser and everyone else are cluegivers trying to make him guess the mystery word by writing down a one word clue in secret. The catch is before revealing clues to the guesser, the cluegivers have to compare the clues they write with each other and if any of the clues match (or have matching root words) those are taken out and not revealed to the guesser.
Games are out of a total of 13 words and even a getting 7 out of 13 right on your group’s first go is considered pretty good!
It’s surprisingly fun for such a simple rule set since you have to think of good clues but not necessarily obvious ones that might conflict with other people’s clues. I highly recommend it!
I don’t know how much they are, but there’s a bunch of classic games on the switch. Jeopardy is pretty good. Wheel of fortune. I think there’s a trivial pursuit.
For other Jackbox trivia games, fibbage is great, and you don’t know jack is too.
+1 for flibbage it’s just a fun game
Go to any goodwill and I guarantee they’ll have a copy of trivial pursuit for sale. Now I will say some of the questions might be a bit dated, but still fun.
My copy of trivial pursuit has several questions that say the n-word. So be prepared for that potentially.
You got the 2025 edition early?!
What? I’ve never heard of this. What are those questions?
Physical or digital? If digital what platforms are available?
Either physical or digital. And I have access to a PC (with a bunch of emulators) or mobile phones.
Heads Up on your phone is good. We play it with the fam on the holidays. You hold the phone facing away from you with the answer and your teammates give you clues.
My list for zoom party games:
- Jackbox on steam. You host and users join a lobby to play via browser.
- https://www.drawio.com/ pictionary
- https://garticphone.com/ group telephone game pictionary
- https://oneword.games/room/imported-island coop word game
- https://codenames.game/ group caragories
Lot of good ones out there that you could probably DIY but some of them work best at certain player counts. How many people are playing?
It would be anywhere between 2 and 5.
For physical games you should try Smart 10 or Beezzerwizzer. They’re pretty light and fun to play.
