Democrats always help, because they have empathy. Whenever shit happens to the South people flood to help them, and both Democrats and Republicans yell how now is not the time for politics!

Meanwhile, when New York gets hit, or California gets hit, or women start dying because they can’t get care Republicans laugh and yell people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Empathy, compassion and tolerance are so easy to abuse, yet we can’t lose them.

it used to be the case but since 2016 it has become more of a superpacs front full of hacks like harris while sidelining actual leaders & progressives like aoc, warren and sanders. we have gone from landslides wins by obama to possibly being beaten by a orange buffoon twice.

where is the empathy for kids being butchered with our money in gaza while israel is blocking any food and medical supplies for a torturous genocide ?

Ah yeah, let’s get nit picky over paint colors for our house while it’s on fire.

You have to vote for Harris if you want to ensure that your protests for Israel will not fall on deaf ears or worse cause your president to invoke the military to quell lawful protests…

Follow-up. If any of the myriad things that Harris doesn’t do for you (anyone reading this) are that important, what have you done to solve them offline? Have you written to your senators and representatives? Are you canvassing? Are you part of your local democratic organizations and aware of how local offices affect the bigger picture? If you are sitting there going “I don’t like X,” and not DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT and choosing to sit this race out or protest vote for “jill” instead of Kamala, you are doing EVERYONE a disservice. This is not a spectator sport where you can just chime in every 4 years.

Sure, be mad about how Kamala isn’t the perfect choice, but just think for a second about how much worse donald would be for ANY of the things you might want – unless what you want is to be racist and spiteful ¯\(ツ)/¯.

If you think trump would really be a better choice for things like the economy and cost of living, then you need to go back to school for some critical thinking skills – which the Republicans would like to finish cutting from the curriculum.

If any of these issues matter, then get involved on November 6th after you voted for Kamala. Otherwise you might just not have the chance.

Want more progressive leaders? Become them or find them and encourage them to run for office and them help them win. Bitching about how both sides are the same every few years does NOTHING except help the worst side.

our house got taken over long ago. trump is not going to do shit. he didn’t do shit to hillary then biden didn’t do shit to him. they will leech off our taxes while laughing at us together, then again do this fake pony show in 4 years.

i made a big mistake voting for hillary then biden. i am not voting for crony harris who only parrots scripts given to her by aipac and other scum lobbyists.

the downvotes here from brigading means nothing as there’s not a single person i know in real life who is not disgusted by her. if not for trump she would have likely gotten less votes than she got in 2020 primaries.

That doesn’t mean shit. I am a registered Republican in Texas. I vote in every primary, desperately trying to get a more reasonable candidate on the ballot (it hasn’t worked yet). Come general election day, I vote straight D. For the races I don’t know, I use the Austin Chronicle’s endorsement list.

We have open primaries. You don’t have to register Republican.

That being said, I’m registered independent. It’s none of anyone’s business that I’m a social Democrat.

I did that in 2000 assuming that I had to and I never changed it or, honestly, looked into if I had to.

This always seems self defeating to me. At least register as Independent so you can vote in primaries for the secret Democrats also trying to play this game.

Party registration doesn’t always change. Many wives, for example, could be in danger for doing that if they have a MAGA husband.

Votes are secret though. So we’ll see.

They didn’t forget because they never knew this in the first place. They live in a propaganda media bubble which does not inform them of reality.
