Nice. Idk how the water soluble ones work but adding linseed oil makes the paint thinner but also fatter meaning it’s going to take a lot longer to dry. Gamsol is a paint thinner which will liquify the paint in a similar consistency but also makes it leaner so it dries a lot quicker. The brand is Gamblin and they make a lot of good oil painting supplies, although I do prefer Windsor and Newton paints
Ah yes, I do add water for light underpaintings sometimes (instead of paint thinner I guess).
Thanks for the explanation, that cleared things up (I use Cobra, tried W&N and it felt as good, but it’s those hydro soluble oils so…) and see you around here!
