Trust me friend, the fact that it’s only at -3 is small miracle in itself! lol Usually I get -40 within a day.

Turns out that I made some people mad (ok, really really mad) and they follow me around to downvote, regardless of subject. Then they post stats of how many downvotes I get. A post in this very community that was removed for it. Look at how obsessive that dude got listing every single thing I’ve said and done LMAO. That’s some hate dedication: https://lemmy.world/modlog/2840?page=1&userId=1699372

Weird, I know. But it is what it is. They had a big “Fuck the Coward, Universal Monk” party when I got temp banned from a sub (for posting duplicate article from different sources): https://lemmy.world/post/21115183

Not worth visiting the link unless you are really bored and want to see a very passionate crowd celebrating my demise. Just the usual boring “oh the guy a troll since he’s not voting with us. He’s probably paid by Putin!! Send him to the hounds!!!” nonsense. :)

I advocated voting third party in the US election. Community NOT amused. To put it lightly! lol

So yeah, that’s why when you see post from me, they’ll be downvoted really fast. Those guys really really hold a grudge. lmao

The US needs this kind of law. With multiple people switching from Dem to Rep after elections are done, it really undermines the will of the people. Most of them didn’t vote for that specific person because they love that specific person. They voted for someone who represents their ideal government. So when that person does a 180, it should open them up to being kicked out by the party or put up for a special election.

For everyone elese who didn’t know, the current “Waka Jumping” law in NZ allows the leader of a political party to demand the resignation of a member of Parliament who leaves their party. Sounds like the Greens are wary of the law in general, so they require an internal 75% vote for their leader to request the ejection.

The ejected member will be replaced via a new election, if they represent a district, or by the next person on the party list if they were from the proportional vote.

That’s an awesome name for a law. I’m guessing it’s a Maori term originally.

Edit: Waka is a Maori word for a canoe. So I guess it means jumping out of the canoe?
