Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House speaker and current Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., sold 2,000 shares of Visa a few months before the company was sued by the government.
Are you the only one in here who bothered to look? I saw your comment and decided to look, too, and unless I’m reading this wrong, you’re right and I don’t understand the point of this story.
Republicans are obsessed with pelosi owning stocks as if she’s the only person in Congress who does it. I guess it takes the heat of everyone else… I read a list of the top 10 stock owners and profit makers in Congress, one of course the top ones were republicans.
Okay, how’s Tommy Tuberville? But who cares. I’m not visiting your “x” link but sources I’ve seen don’t even have pelosi in the top 10. Republicans are just obsessed with attacking her even now that she’s not Speaker. Talk about “waahhh”. That’s fine, if you want to engage in massive hypocrisy, wring your hands about imaginary problems and pretend everything bad is democrats, that’s very on brand for conservatives.
Anyway, yes, you should be concerned about ethical lapses of Congress members even if you don’t recognize their names.
Yes, all their portfolios are public. Unusual Whales actually tracks all their trades and offers tools to mimic their trades if you so desire. Many people watch what stocks people like Nancy Pelosi purchase and use them to guide their own decision-making.
Disguised Republican propaganda, there hasn’t been a year where Pelosi was number one since people started keeping an eye on her moves and she’s always getting beat by a bunch of Republicans no one cares about.
Keyword being did. If you pick the right window of my stock portfolio you could say the same thing.
When one wants to be upset and it’s easiest to be upset about things one doesn’t understand. When someone else starts pulling the levers of one’s misunderstandings, they become a tool.
The sale was on July 1–almost 3 months ago— and the price was lower than on the day the lawsuit was announced.

Wahh, wahh, wahh…maybe get back to us when there’s a recognizable politician making more money from stock trading than her!

Hard to get mad at…uh…Brian Higgins…when none of us knows who he is.
“Waahhh” huh? What a ridiculous reply.

Where’d that data come from? Do congresspeople have public portfolios?
If so, it becomes a solved problem because we can just subscribe to the top performers’ portfolios to keep up (and nullify their advantage).
If they don’t have public portfolios how was this generated?
“calculated by estimating stocks” lol

The point is to make people angry.
Check the rules of the community you’re in. This place isn’t about truth.

Nothing disguised about it
I believed these stories for a long time until I learned that Nancy Pelosi did not outperform the S&P.
She did outperform the s&p. She crushed it. She beat Warren Buffett as well

Historically she has beat the S&P and Warran Buffet. It isn’t a small window, it is for years.
One could only dream of that type of performance. It is why there is a bill in play to stop this.
Can you source that?
It’s sourced above.
