Trying out their blend and just opened my first bag. It’s their 295 mix. I like it, lite and easy to drink It tastes like coffee. Did an aeropress brew and will try V60 next time. I will say the beans gave off an interesting smell that made me nervous about how it would come out, but all is good.

I never heard of this place, but it was recommended in another post. I’ll likely keep the subscription, at least for another few bags to see how it goes.

I’m sure there are going to be bags I’m not too hot on, but that’s ok. This happens when I shop around on my own as well.

It’s still fun to try these services out even if only for a few bags.

Sure, but my experience was that there are next to no bags that will blow your mind with these. They tend to be tours through a sort of pleasant mediocrity. Have tried Atlas, misto, and bean box. Let us know in a few months if you are loving this one though. Has not been on my radar. I’m just skeptical of the whole business model lacking incentive to give you really good beans without pretty severely overcharging. I mostly buy from local roasters but also like to find other people’s local roasters that have free shipping options to branch out. I’d love to make a website that keeps a list of these hidden gem roasters that have free or very discounted shipping costs but don’t have the time to maintain that myself.

Yeah, I don’t think my mind was blown by my first bag, but that’s just marketing fluff. I’m just happy they have 8oz sizes as it takes me over a month to get through 12oz bags. I did notice there was a lot of chaff on these.
