Everyone in either line thinks you’re an idiot. “But someday they store will understand and hire a better cashier!” you think as you go home with no groceries. So you think everyone else is an idiot but they all when home with groceries while you went home with nothing.
Your dumb plan works in a situation where there isn’t one guy that is going to remove voting entirely(or at least functionally).

This analogy assumes that at least one side under current system enables me to go home with “groceries”
