My picks are looking pretty dated right now.

    1. Invader Zim
    2. Ren & Stimpy
    3. Rocko’s Modern Life

Anyone got any recommendations from the last 20 year?

    Edit:
If you count Cartoon Network cartoons outside of the Cartoon Cartoon era i would add

    1. Teen Titans Go
    2. Craig of the Creek
    3. The Looney Tunes Show

This last one was a little rough in patches but I really liked the sitcom format for these characters.

Summer Camp Island. Came out in 2018 for a single season before more seasons came into being. A bunch of anthro animal kids (main cast around 11-ish if I remember correctly) go to a summer camp on an island that turns out to be run by 3 witches.

In the later seasons, they start adding in more lore for the island, the inhabitants, and even a bit for the campers. Definitely a 180 from the likes of the shows you picked, but it’s a recommendation.

Rugrats was always my favorite by a wide margin but I was also a big fan of Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, and The Angry Beavers as a kid. To be honest though I watched and enjoyed pretty much everything that aired on Nickelodeon in the ‘90s.

I didn’t have Cartoon Network until I was in high school, and there isn’t a Nicktoon I can think of I didn’t like.

I have seen some CC shows since and I like Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Lab… Not sure what else was from that particular era; was Courage that old?

With modern stuff it’s the total opposite. I don’t know wtf Nickelodeon does or if it’s even still around, but I love Chowder, Gumball, Regular Show, Foster’s, and a lot of Adult Swim’s content.

If I was to name one of each, it would be Hey Arnold! from Nickelodeon and probably Courage the Cowardly Dog from Cartoon Network!

What exactly do you mean by cartoon cartoons?

If you just mean animated cartoons in general by that, I’m going with Angry Beavers, Franklin (was on Noggin where I live, the venture between the owners of Nickelodeon (MTV Networks) and Sesame Workshop, so I count it as Nickelodeon preschool edition), Summer Camp Island, Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron, and Dofus: Aux Trésors de Kerubim. As my current top 5 (in no particular order).
