What the mermaid didn’t tell her is that they also work, get stressed, sad, depressed, cry, sleep, wake, and repeat. The only difference is that they do it while nakedTM. It’s not like clothes are the cause of all our problems. We too can be naked all day if we choose.

True but they do have extremely Loud ear bursting sonar pulsing in the oceans all day, lots of extremely loud Motors and other random loud noises that humans make, tons of netting and plastic bags and random pieces of plastic that are really shiny and look like pieces of food, lots of clouds of toxic poisonous ammonia and oil and Industrial chemicals and dyes, an environment that’s heating up uncomfortably, becoming less oxygenated, and generally less hospitable… I can’t assume that fish are too happy anymore at all

For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars, and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man… for precisely the same reasons.

Being a merperson is so overrated, being a derg is so much better, we’re strong, and fast, and can soar through the skies. It is truly the life of adventure and excitement.
