A historic monumental bar is marking "an end of an era," as Queen Street West's The Black Bull Tavern— which has operated since 1833— announces its permanent closure this week.
Sad that the owner didn’t find a successor before he passed. This place would be a dream to own for so many people, hopefully it stays a down to earth pub. Not enough of those in Toronto
People with the money to afford things like this have better things to do, so corporations buy them now. The old days, some guy retiring from the NHL would see this as a nice “retirement”, now they either can’t afford it or have been successful enough in the NHL this is beneath them.
