Being on Lemmy has made me realize that not having to constantly deal with nazis on your instance kind of rocks and I want that same experience on the rest of the federation.
I’m currently on mastodon.social and matrix.org and have had my problems with both but don’t know where a good place to move would be. Help me find a better place to set up on the federation. This thread was spurred by https://lemmy.ml/post/13634062 but really it’s been a problem i’ve been having for awhile now and would like to take preventative actions before liberalism starts to become hardcore nazified.
I don’t care if they censor me it’s what they were censoring. Like, if i’m being a douche by all means remove that shit, if i’m saying something shitty, by all means remove that shit. Where I draw the line is when I’m taking a stance of basic human decency and they’re like “nope not allowed” Like, actual political censorship shit.
Besides that’s not the part that pisses me off, it’s the constant libshit that’s always in the Explore tab. Most of it is annoying and easy to ignore but some of it is genuinely awful shit like “I’m a trans and gay and this is why we need to bomb the middle east” where they weaponize identity politics and block/report you if you point out how fucked up that is.
I stick to statements of fact and the fact that my “facts” are considered “disinformation” (common fascist tactic) is very telling.
I agree. Being genuinly stupid or having bad takes should not be a ground for removal of comments.

Facts (and they very much do require the quotes) are subject to moderatior/admin review. The word has lost most meaning on social media.
