I think it’s when you single out one group of people that you dislike and pin everything that you don’t like in life on them. Often it will be met with support from like minded people. Kinda football team mentality - my team is better than your team.

You don’t think like me you’re a Tory toff.
You don’t think like me you’re a Brexitier.
You don’t think like me you must be a transphobe.
You don’t think like me you must want to privatise the NHS.
