My laptop can handle Balder’s Gate 3, but forwhatever reason it would take 5 to 10 minutes every start to preprocess the shaders.
I looked online and found this is seemingly caused by the foreground process only using 1 thread, but setting it to happen in the background on opening steam uses all of them.
I did that, things worked fine. I tried to play again after having to step away from my laptop and ran into the issue when I SKIPPED preprocessing shaders once of everything from the main menu on running at 5 fps.
I tried restarting steam to no luck. I tried rebooting the laptop after disabling background processing with no luck. So I am at a loss as to how to fix this.
