“Over the past 24 hours, Russians massively shelled settlements of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kupyansk districts with guided aerial bombs and other weapons,” said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration.

      Fuck war!

We the US and our NATO/EU allies are using Ukraine as a money laundering scheme for our military companies and more for after.

      Proxy wars for everyone.

Just look at what we have been doing in Africa since forever.

It’s clear that the 50+ something wars are kept going around the world because there are people benefiting from each one. It’s disturbing to keep people dying. The US military industry wouldn’t have their excuse this time if Russia would stop the invasion, wonder what their benefit is. Everyone can see through their bullshit

Minsk agreements started in 2014, way before invasion.

I do not see any attempt from our side for peace, just more funding for war.

Russia has been pushed by NATO for decades, so looks like poking a superpower does not help make things better.

We are doing the same thing to China.

More never ending wars coming right up for when the last one ends.

The invasion started Feb 20th 2014. Afterwards, Minsk agreement was fine for a while I guess until Putin disbanded it. There’s no justification for Russia’s actions. Their neighboring countries have the right for safety.

It’s true that the military industry is juicing everything out of the situation instead of negotiations for peace. Although the same goes for Russia.

The world community can’t let Russia out of the situation without repercussions or the same will keep on happening again and again all over the world. (Taiwan next?)

Nato is a war crime organisation and Russia forced it to have new members as the countries have no other security options.

When the USSR was disbanded, agreements were made, one, NATO not moving closer to Russian border.

What would you think we(the US) would do if Russia had military bases stations in Mexico and Canada.

Just look at what happened when missles were put in Cuba…

This is the best summary I could come up with:

It remained under Russian control for several months, before a swift Ukrainian offensive liberated the city in September, along with a number of other settlements in the region.

A local Ukrainian official said Thursday that substantial Russian reinforcements had turned the northern front of Kharkiv region into the “epicenter” of hostilities, “where the enemy is concentrating its main efforts.”

But Ukrainian authorities have not ordered an evacuation of this scale since October last year, when they launched an offensive to reclaim territories captured by Russian forces in Kherson and sought to protect civilians by removing them first.

In July, Serhii Cherevatyi, a Ukrainian spokesman for the Eastern Military Grouping, warned that Russia had dramatically bolstered its forces in the region.

“The enemy has concentrated a very powerful grouping on the Lyman-Kupyansk direction, with over 100,000 personnel, over 900 tanks, and over 370 MLRS (rocket launchers),” Cherevatyi said, adding that Russian forces were “putting everything into breaking through our defense.”

This strategy also aims to bring Russia closer to one of its stated goals – of securing all of the eastern Luhansk region and possibly reaching the natural barrier of the Oskil.
