Sounds like the local branch of the International Fascist Party is trying to undermine aid for the victims of the IFP, and the Democrats are telling them no.

Good! The international fascist movement must be crushed.

As a reminder, the former conservative Republican Party no longer exists. Since 2016, and especially since January 6 2021, the so-called “GOP” has become instead a branch of the international fascist movement (Putinist-Trumpist).

Senate Democrats banded together Wednesday night to oppose the creation of a new (30 person) office to audit US military assistance for Ukraine as part of a provision in the annual defense spending bill.

So, then no new aid could be delivered unless the panel was in place. The Republicans would then put a hold on appointing some of the needed members, thus holding the aid hostage unless their demands were met.

    Democrats are not stupid.

Nobody wants oversight when they’re in charge.

If you trust the decision makers then it’s $10 million to look for any little paperwork hiccup to accuse the administration of malfeasance. If you don’t trust the decision makers $10 million is a great deal to get compliance from the other $400 million.
