How to blackstamp my head in street-level images?
I just purchased an Insta360 X4 to create street-level images for Mapillary & Panoramax and took my first pictures with it. As much as I love my hair, I don’t really want to see it in street pictures.
In other users’ images, I often see a black circle or something similar where a head would normally be. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything quickly: Which image editing tool that can edit 360-degree images can I use to put a black stamp on my head before uploading the images?

Not sure I can help but thanks for pointing out Panoramax. Mapillary being owned by Facebook turned me off of the idea a little.
I didn’t realize that mapillary was owned by FB… That’s really disappointing, seems to have promise. I found it a couple months ago and wanted to start contributing. I’ll check out panoramax
The content is still released under CC-BY-SA, see OSM Wiki: Street-level imagery services. It definitely remains problematic that #Mapillary is under Meta’s control. On the other hand, they heavily sponsor 360-degree images, which would not be available under a CC license without Meta’s involvement.
Yeah, nothing is perfect so I’m not opposed to contributing to Mapillary but I am glad to know other options exist.
@oliver @openstreetmap @askfedi hey, check this blog: https://www.trekview.org/blog/adding-a-custom-nadir-to-360-video-photo/
The graphic is called “Nadir”.Is your head in a reasonably consistent position relative to the camera or gyro/compass orientation, like the StreetView car? That could allow for an automated or semi-automated process.
almost consistent, but I’m holding a selfie stick, so there are some discrepancies.

Not sure how to do it although I know people who do usually use a script. You might find some information on the (French but English friendly) forum where panoramaxians meet : https://forum.geocommuns.fr/I’m just commenting for engagement, I hope you get a useful answer! :)
