    Studies took a baseline in 2020 pandemic and was funded by the for profit destination Brisbane consortium and looked to show the impact of queens wharf not just on gambling but also on tourism and other commercial impacts. Basically it was always a shill for ‘look how great in 2024 we look compared to a baseline (during covid). Gambling is net good for society as it attracts tourism and spending not just problem gamblers.’

    Anyway that’s my cynical look.

    I really fucking hate gambling. I hate that it ruins local people’s lives with an addition.

    Having said that… I like taking overseas people’s money, and putting it in to our economy.

    I think the casino should be for international visitors only.
