I see the sidebar says to post things with a strong roleplaying component, but JRPGs are welcome. I also made this post awhile back about what can be posted here. I also know this community has a new mod in @AgentKaryo@lemmy.world. Are you changing that, or are we keeping a strong roleplaying component? Will ARPGs be welcome even if they don’t have too many choices or opportunities to roleplay?

    Any RPGs (cRPG, JRPG) and RPG adjacent (ARPG RPG-lite) discussions/demo/previews/review are welcome in this community. The sidebar implies this, I will edit it to make it a bit more explicit.

    This might change if we get more MAUs, but we can discuss this when we get there.

    Eventually I think it would make sense to have separate communities, as ARPGs, JRPGs and traditional CRPGs are typically rather different and the fanbases don’t always overlap. However, while we’re still at this level of MAUs having them all here in this community makes sense to me at least.

    There’s already two active JRPG communities. One slightly more active than here, the other slightly less.

    And one ARPG community. Not very active though!
