I really really want to buy the fellow ode 2 coffee grinder, for it’s quality and descent price, but I just learned that it’s a USA company and the grinder is made in china. Before I buy I’m looking if there is an European alternative where my money is placed better.
Does anyone know of a coffee grinder made in Europe that is as good as the fellow ode 2 while not blowing the budget completely.
I make frensh press, pour over and mokka pot so i don’t require espresso fine grind levels, but an even and precise grind is important to me.
Manual grinders by Zassenhaus, made in Germany.
The Wilfa Svart grinders are really good. Wilfa is a Norwegian company and the Svart line of coffee making appliances is developed in cooperation with former world champion barista Tim Wendelboe.
I had one as my first grinder and after about 2 years it was ready for recycling. Not very good value.
Mine is close to ten years old and still going strong. We have one at work as well. It is heavily used to feed two Wilfa Svart coffee makers multiple times a day without issues.
I’ve been using mine for six years and it still works great.
Eureka. Its a little pricy, but you probably don’t need to buy another grinder in your lifetime.
Hahahaha I see, you have not been sucked into the coffee rabbit hole yet.
Came to say this. Very happy with my Eureka.
Comandante, if you’re a coffee snob with too much money
LaMarzocco have a grinder out now, it’s pricey but very quiet and good
At your price range probably something from Baratza that was started in Seattle but sold to Breville(Australian) in 2020.
Eurekas should be made in Italy but the prices reflect that although there should be some decent sales sometimes. I’d also suggest looking at the second hand market.
