Sorry, no sneer today. I’m tired of this to the point where I’m dreaming up new software licenses.

A trans person no longer felt safe in our community and is no longer developing. In response, at least four different forums full of a range of Linux users and developers (Lemmy #1, Lemmy #2, HN, Phoronix (screenshot)) posted their PII and anti-trans hate.

I don’t have any solutions. I’m just so fucking disappointed in my peers and I feel a deep inadequacy at my inability to get these fuckwads to be less callous.

      Edit: apparently this is the same topic as the front page Linux post? So you’re complaining about me not understanding why there is a downvote brigade there even though that post is also extremely vague? (side note, why are Lemmy posters seemingly incapable of like, writing a full coherent thought? The Linux post explained literally nothing of what was actually going on.). And so even though I’m asking a valid question about a topic I don’t understand you’ve decided I’m your enemy.

      Well, go fuck yourself. You’re not going to win anyone over by assuming anyone who isn’t immediately aware of everything going on in a thread on the internet is your enemy. And you’re going to win fewer people over by being openly hostile for no apparent reason just because you think it’s apparent. be better.
