Sarah Michelle Gellar tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' reboot is moving along smoothly, even 'progressing faster than I'd anticipated.' PEOPLE confirmed last month that the popular series is being rebooted, with the actress set to reprise her titular role.
There are a couple of references to the movie, but they’re pretty minor. They basically reference her getting expelled from her old school for burning down the gym, iirc.
