Hi admins,

I’m posting to request approval for me to create and moderate a community called LemmyHatesUSA or something similar. The function of the community would be for users to post links to other posts and comments in which Lemmy users criticize the USA. The purpose would be to create and maintain a running log of how much users on Lemmy criticize the USA. This could provide data to help assess the situation on Lemmy with the topic and observe patterns.

The reason I am asking for permission is because I want to make sure that I don’t use the instance for purposes that are not aligned with the vision of the admin team. Even if the proposed community does not violate the rules, I would like to know if the admin team would prefer not to have such a community. I don’t want to insist that an instance maintain a community they do not want on their server. I could find another instance on which to host the community.

If approved, I would be happy to receive suggestions related to community, even changing the name to something less aggressive, such as AntiUSALemmyContent or whatever other suggestions.

About the whole community, if you launch it, you would probably see something like ShitUSAys as Lemmy version of ShitAmericansSay as a counterbalance.

Not sure if there is a need for such communities to keep track on how much crap citizens of different countries say.
