It's biblical!Even though some Protestants are adamant that only immersion is a valid baptism, if you delve into the Scriptures there are many scriptures both from the Hebrew and Greek texts which also imply immersion and the Greek Baptizo (strong's 907) not only means to dip but also ritual washing like in the Islamic wudu. In the Orthodox church they fully immerse for baptism. Understanding that sometimes due to disabilities or other issues this is not possible there are other methods that can be used such as pouring but they are not preferred.
