there was something likable about Amsterdam and it’s cosmopolitanism. Maybe i’m just dreaming about an Amsterdam in a forest, peopled with Mediterraneans under a Californian climate 🤷

Speed bumps are a really efficient way of controlling speed. No driver in their right minds would approach one faster than 25kmh

the article seems to be well written and well studied too. Why is that statement (which seems to be the common thread in any documentary about Mongolia for the last 20 years) unqualified according to you?
most, if not all, people i’ve met who choose to not care, don’t care not because they’re “too consumed by everything else” but because caring and acting accordingly would need them to be slightly less comfortable.
And they strongly believe that they deserve to be as comfortable now as they can.
