I’m not even sure how to respond to this nonsense. Unsweet isn’t a shortening of unsweetened.

It’s the same thing with “unsweet,” which has apparently become the universal term at food establishments when you want unsweetened tea. I’m in the American South, so I encounter this constantly.

But what the hell is “unsweet”? What does that even mean? Did they sweeten it and then somehow take the sweetness back out? Was it accomplished through evaporation? Reverse osmosis? Some sort of industrial-scale anti-sugar process?

“Unsweet” isn’t a word.

So when I order, I specifically say, “unsweetened tea,” and the server inevitably responds, “Unsweet?”

“Gotcha.”

No. You got nothing. I said unsweetened.

What he really meant to say is that we’re not board of director executives. And we have absolutely no idea how to milk every possible cent out of a game.

To be fair, I think they should be in there late 20s or maybe 30s in the show.

This meme is nonsense.

First, the infamous “put glue on pizza” incident happened in May 2024, when Google rolled out its AI Overviews feature. The feature used Gemini, but the incident wasn’t some demonstration of what a $50 billion AI data center does. Google AI Overviews pulled information from the web, including a years-old sarcastic Reddit comment about putting Elmer’s glue on pizza—and presented it as legitimate advice. Google subsequently acknowledged the problem and changed the system.

Second, a $500 million public-transit project and a $50 billion AI data-center investment aren’t alternatives to one another. They’re different projects, funded through different mechanisms, involving different entities, serving completely different purposes, and subject to completely different economic and political considerations.

Saying “they spent $50 billion on AI instead of $500 million on public transportation” is like saying “the government bought a $50 billion aircraft carrier instead of building a $500 million bridge.” The existence of one expenditure does not demonstrate that the other was rejected because of it.

And finally, the claim that an AI data center will “make the quality of life worse for everyone living there” is simply asserted rather than demonstrated. There can absolutely be legitimate arguments about the environmental, electrical-grid, water, tax, and infrastructure impacts of large data centers. Those are worth debating. But “AI bad, therefore public transportation good, therefore this $50 billion project is why we don’t have the transportation project” isn’t an argument. It’s a meme wearing a hat pretending to be an economic analysis.

The pizza-glue incident is also almost completely irrelevant. It was a Google AI search failure from 2024. It has nothing whatsoever to do with whether a particular AI data center should be built in 2026.

You can oppose a particular data-center project. You can support public transportation. You can criticize AI’s environmental costs. But none of those positions become more intellectually defensible by pretending they’re connected to Google’s pizza-glue hallucination.

What exactly is Israel? The government? The people? The corporations? Which aspect of the country has a right to exist exactly?

The part systematically killing off an entire population of people? No. That part has no right to exist.

Flagship llms are trained on modern and classical philosophy.

They are able to tell the difference between right and wrong. Aside from some unique errors they do not condone or encourage violence. So you can ask them mundane questions and get decent mundane answers.

They’re just tools. You have to know how to use them correctly if you’re going to use them.

For example, I use chat GPT for grammar and spell check. It’s quite good at that.

It also has a pretty good moral compass so you could ask general questions about things.

But I generally agree when it comes to super pinpoint Niche things especially in one’s field, that’s not very common. It’s not great.

Although I’ve had various degrees of success with perplexity.

Edit: I realize that a lot of you don’t like people even using llms for mundane things let alone specific work analog.

But your bias is your own problem. Don’t condemn me for it.
